Tributes Continue for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the couple.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt able to express about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has passed that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the film, remarking that he could not remember "one day without joy".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a different tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles court official ruled to block the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order put a restriction on the cases to restrict the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a official listing noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the killings, public personalities offered divergent comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing divisive statements that were broadly criticized by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the detractors recently. Speaking on his show, Rogan labeled the remarks as "shocking" and remarked they demonstrated a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an aide could have stepped in when the impulse to speak on the tragedy was made.
